UPDATE: Suspect in 15th Avenue homicide arrested at Dodson Avenue home on Wednesday

UPDATE: Chattanooga police say the suspect in a deadly shooting on 15th Avenue on Monday night has been arrested.
Police 21-year-old Brandon Deonte McDaniel was found at a home in the 2700 block of Dodson Avenue on Wednesday, thanks to a tip that was shared with CPD.
McDaniel is accused of the shooting death of 25-year-old Donald Troutwine on August 17.
McDaniel is charged with Criminal Homicide and Felony Reckless Endangerment.
He is being held at the Hamilton County Jail.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: The Chattanooga Police Department is asking for the public's assistance with locating a suspect involved in the 15th Avenue homicide that happened on August 17.
CPD said the suspect has been identified as Brandon Deonte McDaniel.
CPD described McDaniel as a 21-year-old Black male, who is 5 feet and 8 inches in height and weighs 170 lbs.

PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga police have identified the man killed Monday night in a shooting in the 4800 block of 15th Avenue.
Police say that 25-year-old Donald Troutwine was found suffering from a single gunshot wound about 8:13 pm.
Troutwine was taken to a local hospital by Hamilton County EMS where he succumbed to his injuries.
Homicide investigators were told that before the shooting, a man entered the home threatening violence then left. Shortly afterward, a suspect shot into the home, striking Troutwine.

PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga police are investigating a second shooting on Monday night.
It happened around 9:25 p.m. in the 2400 block of 4th Avenue, just two and a half miles away from the first shooting on 15th Avenue.
Police say the victim was shot in the extremity but fled the scene.
It’s unclear if the two incidents are connected.
On Thursday, July 30, Chattanooga police said a 40-year-old man was shot once in the same area of 4th Avenue.
