A man was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning outside his home. William Young was about to leave for work when two men approached him in his driveway on Peerless Road in Cleveland.

"And then I was leaving and I turned around, shut the door and I walked toward the front of my vehicle, came around toward the driver side. When I was facing my car, I heard someone start yelling at me 'get down, get down, get down,’” Young told us.

When Young turned around, a man was in his face with a gun, and another man behind him.

"I was waiting to get shot, I was. For a couple of moments,” Young shared.

The men kept giving Young commands.

"He told me to then give him my keys, phone and wallet. I did,” Young said.

After, Young said they calmly backed out of the driveway and drove off.

He had to bang on a window to wake up his girlfriend so they could call 911. Police arrived quickly and a chase was on.

Young told us, "They ran and wrecked my vehicle, somewhere close to the Walmart in Ooltewah."

Police caught one man. The other is still on the loose.

Young lost nearly $15,000 of stolen property, but says you can't put a dollar amount on it.

"For me, it's kind of priceless. I need my car to get to work,” he said.

He says this has really interrupted his life, but his friends and family have stepped up.

"Family members have been providing rides and stuff like that so it's been a great help,” Young told us.

He's just thankful to be alive.

Young said, "I was hoping I would get out of it un-hurt so I did and I was very lucky."

If you have any information that will lead to the arrest of the suspect still on the loose, contact the Cleveland Police Department.

Friends have set up a GoFundMe page for the family.
