Driver bails from moving vehicle after being shot on Central Avenue
One man is recovering from minor injuries following a shooting Monday night.
Chattanooga Police the incident happened on Central Avenue, around 8:20 p.m.
When police arrived on the scene they found a 23-year-old male with a gunshot wound.
Investigators say the gunshot victim was in the driver's seat of his vehicle sitting at a traffic light when all of a sudden someone pulled aside him and fired shots
inside of his vehicle and fled the scene.
The 23-year-old was taken to the hospital where he was treated for his injuries.
Investigators believed the victim was the intended target.

According to the Hamilton County 911 log, a "shots fired" call came in around 8:20 p.m. from the 1000 block of Central Avenue.
Police say the victim says he heard gunshots and got out of the moving car when he realized he'd been hit.
Police say the car kept moving at a slow speed until it ended up in the front yard of an area home.
The victim has been taken to a hospital and is being questioned by investigators.
The victim's injuries are not life-threatening.
His name has not been released.
