Authorities said two people died in a plane crash in north Alabama.

News outlets reported that the crash happened shortly after 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Cullman Regional Airpot in Cullman County, Alabama.

The Federal Aviation Agency reports the aircraft was a Vans RV-6, a small two-seated plane.

The names of the victims were not immediately released and there are no reports to how the accident was caused.

The Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board will be taking over the investigation and will give another update in the coming days.
