Rhea County man reaches plea deal for child sex charges, sentenced to 12 years in prison
A Rhea County man has been sentenced to 12 years in prison after reaching a plea agreement for sexual assault incidents involving minors.
According to the Rhea County Sheriff's Department, Ryan Fenstermacher was accused of exploiting two victims.
The first victim told the Sheriff's Department that Fenstermacher sexually assaulted and took nude pictures of her between January 2009 and August 2011.
The second victim said Fenstermacher took nude photos of her between June and August 2011.
Detective Rocky Potter didn't specify the ages of the victims but says the first victim is under age 13 and the second victim is younger than the first.
Fenstermacher was originally charged with five counts of rape, five counts of aggravated sexual battery and 10 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor.
Fenstermacher entered a plea agreement to one count of aggravated sexual battery.
He was sentenced to 12 years in prison with life on the sexual registry and life in community corrections.
Fenstermacher will have to serve at least 10 years and one month.
The plea agreement was made with the victim's family's consent.
