UPDATE: Family members uncertain of Jeffery Lane shooting survivor's fate
UPDATE: It's been a week since the shooting on Jeffery Lane in Chattanooga that left a man in the hospital, fighting for his life.
Court documents say 32-year-old Michael Williams was shot multiple times last Friday by 46-year-old Marvin Jermaine Davis, who is in custody.
Though Williams survived the shooting, his family is still struggling to deal with the pain.
"I just wish we could rewind and just that it would've never happened. I just want it to all go back to how it was before," his wife Sarah McCullough told Channel 3.
January 3rd marks the day everything changed for McCullough and her children.
"I keep seeing and visualizing him in the hospital," she said.
It was the day her husband and father of four, Michael Williams was shot multiple times.
"They told me to expect him to pass. They didn't think he would make it through the night. He lost over 200 pints of his blood," McCullough explained.
McCullough says she never imagined this would be how their new year would start.
"He's a miracle. He's still sitting there fighting," she told Channel 3.
Although she's grateful Williams is alive, she's concerned he won't walk again.
"Just to think about the aftermath...they don't know if he's going to be paralyzed. The bullet hit his spine," she said.
With no insurance,McCullough says the medical bills are just beginning to pile up.
"I'm trying to hold it together. I'm trying my best to hold it together," McCullough said in tears.
Family members have set up a GoFundMe page with hopes the community will help join the fight for Williams.
