Local woman still looking for answers two years after mother's death
Catoosa County woman Pamela Walters died two years ago, and now her daughter Shriee Walters wants answers.
It was July 23, 2017, when Walters found her mother Pamela's body inside her home on Lunsford Lane in Catoosa County.
"It wasn't like her to not talk to one of us in a day," said Walters. She wouldn't go a day without talking to one of us."
Pamela's neighbors told Walters that they had heard a commotion coming from Pamela's home the night she died.
"She was arguing with her ex-boyfriend, she had put him out and they were arguing and it went on for about 20 minutes and then all was quiet," said Walters.
Channel 3 spoke with Catoosa County Sheriff Gary Sisk on the phone Thursday and he says the case is still open with no suspects. He says the ex-boyfriend was cleared because he was somewhere else at the time Pamela died.
Walters still has more questions than answers, after her mother's autopsy results came back inconclusive. She feels her mother's death wasn't natural.
"She was my friend and we were close and if something was wrong with her I would have known," said Walters.
She says her family needs closure, and not knowing what happened is hurting both her, and her 12-year-old brother.
"Because you don't know and she has a son now that is 12-years-old that was 10 that don't know," said Walters.
She says there is still more work to do.
"Catoosa County I feel could have done better," said Walters. "I feel like I don't know everything and I don't know everything, I can't explain everything to my 12-year-old brother and he's read to know."
