McCallie has been knocking on the door of the state championship game these past few seasons and finally broke through with a state semifinal win over Ensworth for the chance to play for a state title for the first time in 13 years.

The Blue Tornado seniors have been a major catalyst to the program's recent success and the team hopes they can bring back the program's second state championship with a win on Thursday evening.

McCallie hasn't had much success against their title game opponents in Montgomery Bell Academy. Since 1993, the Blue Tornado and MBA have played 24 times with Big Red coming away with the win 22 times.

The Division-II-AAA state championship game is Thursday evening on the campus of Tennessee Tech at 8:00 p.m. (Eastern Time).
