Chattanooga girl crowned Food Network's "Chopped Junior" winner
An East Hamilton 8th grader got to show off her cooking skills on Food Network's "Chopped Junior" Tuesday night.
13-year-old "Kyla Curry" was named the winner of Chopped Junior not only she got the title of cooking champ but even walked away with $10,000.00 -Ten
Thousand Dollars. Curry competed against three other young chefs before being announced the winner. The show is a spinoff of "Chopped," a cooking
competition for adults.
Kyla's creative fish dish, a meaty second course, and a festive dessert wowed the judges in the finals.
The episode was called "Holiday Hoopla", Kyla says she will continue to work towards being a chef, but thinks she wants to pursue her studies in engineering.
