UPDATE: Multiple agencies search Nickajack Lake for 2 missing men
UPDATE: Officials say a 2-day search in Marion County was prompted by a tip that came in about two missing men from separate cases.
The search began at Nickajack Lake on Tuesday around 10:00 a.m.
District Attorney Mike Taylor tells Channel 3, crews were searching the lake for the remains of Matthew Tyler Henry and Wesley Ridge.
Taylor says the cases of the missing men are separate but the information received indicated that the bodies of both men could be in the area.
Police say Matthew Henry disappeared in April of 2018. He was last seen in Dunlap where he lived.
In April of 2016, Marion County Sheriff Bo Burnett said Wesley Ridge left his girlfriend's house on March 8, when he got into a car with a co-worker.
The coworker told investigators that he and Ridge went for a short ride, and then he dropped Ridge off at Ronnie’s Red Eye Tavern in Jasper.
Ridge has not been seen since.
The search at the lake has end on Wednesday evening. Officials have not said if any remains were found.
Multiple agencies helped with the search, including the agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation.
