Grundy County probation officer charged with misconduct after inappropriate relationship with probationer
An Altamont probation officer has been arrested on charges of official misconduct.
According to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, probation officer Tara Van Hooser-Prater was investigated for engaging in a physical relationship with a person on active probation in Grundy County.
The Grundy County Grand Jury indicted Van Hooser-Prater with two counts of official misconduct on November 12.
Van Hooser-Prater was arrested on Wednesday and booked into the Grundy County Jail.
