Christmas Day is just over a month away and local Salvation Army volunteers are working to make sure every child gets a visit from Santa through the annual Angel Tree Program.

Registration for the program has ended and now the organization needs people to the adopt Angels.

To help with adoptions, The Salvation Army's Chattanooga Echelon Chapter is hosting a three-part volunteer event called "Run with Reason 2019."

Local businesses, churches and community organizations are needed to sponsor a team of runners who will log their miles in order to raise money during a run on December 7, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at Redoubt Soccer Center.

The run participants will then use the money raised during a shopping event on December 14, from 10:00 a.m. to noon.

All of the money raised will go to the Angel Tree Program.

A number of Angels are available for adoption.

You can learn more about the program and how you can help by visiting the Salvation Army's website.
