UPDATE: GSP identify suspect in deadly hit-and-run in Whitfield County
UPDATE: The suspect in the Whitfield County hit and run has been identified.
Authorities say the driver has been identified as 32-year-old Eric Shane Moore from Chatsworth, Ga.
Investigators say Moore is facing several charges including first-degree vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and tampering with evidence.
The investigation is still ongoing by Troop A SCRT.

18-YEAR-OLD EMORY WARE WAS HIT WHILE WALKING SUNDAY MORNING ON THE NORTH DALTON BY-PASS AT MADDOX CHAPEL ROAD.
a TIP ALSO LED TROOPERS TO THE SUSPECT'S CAR ON SPRING PLACE SMYRNA ROAD.
THEY SAY THE GREEN 2000 BUICK CENTURY HAD DAMAGE TO THE FRONT AND WINDSHIELD, CONSISTENT WITH THE CRASH.
PREVIOUS: The Georgia State Patrol Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRTA) is investigating a hit and run that resulted in the death of a teen in Whitfield County.
The pedestrian has been identified as 18-year-old Emory Ware of Calhoun, Georgia.
The collision happened early Sunday morning around 1:30 at the North Dalton by-pass at Maddox Chapel Road.
Investigators say the vehicle that fled the scene of the crash is possibly a 2000-2002 Buick Regal or a Buick Century Special Edition or a 2003 Buick Regal or
Buick Century standard model.
There is damage to the front and to the windshield of the car.
The vehicle color is not available at this time.
After the crash, the Buick continued northbound on the North By-Pass.
