President Donald Trump will participate in a wreath-laying and deliver remarks at the New York City Veterans Day parade Monday.

New Yorkers and thousands of people from around the country will join in for Monday's parade along Fifth Avenue to honor those who have served this country.

Over 25,000 people are expected to participate in the parade and related events, including veterans, active-duty military personnel and their supporters.

Marching bands will play patriotic-themed music and against a sea of red, white and blue American flags.

This year, President Donald Trump will kick off the parade, marking the first sitting U.S. President to do so. His presence will add another layer of security to the event.
