Ashwood Square Retirement Community is hosting public Veterans Day ceremony. Retired Major James Carbon will be the presiding official and will recognize each veteran along with awarding each a special pin. Hixson High School ROTC cadets will provide assistance with the presentation of the Colors and playing of the National Anthem followed by a Posting of the Colors and a Quad Drill Exhibition. The event starts at 1:00 p.m.

BlueCross is hosting a Veterans Day program at Hilltop Café at BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee headquarters. Retired Major General William B. Raines will be the keynote speaker and the BlueCross choir will be performing. The event is for BlueCross BlueShield veterans and employees. The event starts at 2:30 p.m.

Chattanooga National Cemetery is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony. The keynote speaker will be Maj. Kevin Beavers, Department Head of Military Science at UTC. The American Legion Post 95 Band and the Choo Choo Chorus will perform. The event is open to the public, including veterans and their families. The cemetery says only vehicles with a handicapped pass or plate will be allowed to park at the cemetery. All other attendees will park at the Redemption Church on Bailey Avenue or the National Guard Armory on Holtzclaw Avenue. A bus will provide transportation. The event starts at 11 a.m.

Silverdale Baptist Academy is hosting a school-wide Veterans Day celebration. The keynote speaker will be Lieutenant Kittrell Smith, United States Navy (Retired) and the ceremony's theme is "We Celebrate You!" The celebration is open to all local veterans. A reception for veterans will begin at 12 p.m. in the Silverdale Room and the program will start at 1:00 p.m. in the Silverdale Baptist Church sanctuary. The City of Collegedale is hosting a Veterans Day program at the Veterans Memorial Park on Apison Park. U.S. Congressman Chuck Fleischmann will be the keynote speaker. Other guest speakers include Representative Mike Carter and Collegedale Mayor Katie Lamb. Members of the Collegedale Academy Band will perform. The event starts at 3:00 p.m.
