Chattanooga Fire officials say several vigilant citizens helped crews get to a house fire on Bailey Avenue on Monday.

It happened around 5:00 p.m. in the 2400 block.

CFD spokesperson Lindsey Rogers says a woman walking her dog and several other people called to report the fire.

Rogers says Chattanooga police arrived at the scene and checked to see if anyone was in the home but it empty.

Rogers says firefighters arrived to find flames showing through some windows and were able to put out the fire.

No one was injured.

The fire displaced two people and the Red Cross was called in to help them.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
