Nine area health departments will offer free flu shots as part of a statewide push for vaccinations.

The free vaccines will be offered at the following locations on November 19:

  • Bledsoe County – Pikeville Farmer’s Market – 9 a.m.–2p.m. Central
  • Bradley County – Cleveland Family YMCA – 7 a.m.–7p.m. Eastern
  • Franklin County – Franklin County High School – 4 p.m.– p.m. Central
  • Grundy County – Grundy County High School – 3:30 p.m.–6:30 p.m. Central
  • Marion County – Marion County Health Promotion Center – 3 p.m.–6 p.m. Central
  • McMinn County – Athens-McMinn Family YMCA – 4 p.m.–7 p.m. Eastern
  • Meigs County – Piggly Wiggly – 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Eastern
  • Polk County
    • Benton First Baptist Church – 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Eastern
    • Mine City Baptist Church – 10 a.m.–2 p.m. Eastern
  • Rhea County – DeliMart – 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m. Eastern
  • Sequatchie County – Sequatchie County High School – 4 p.m.–7 p.m. Central

The Tennessee Department of Health says anyone over six months old should get the vaccine this year.
