A Hamilton County man will be spending a very lengthy prison term for rape.

A sentencing hearing was held Monday morning for Anthony Vance, who was found guilty of rape by a criminal court jury back on August 29, 2019.

Assistant District Attorney Andrew Coyle said Vance was a Range 3 persistent offender, with 67 convictions for misdemeanors and felonies.

Coyle said Vance was on parole for a previous rape case prior to his latest rape case.

Judge Don Poole said there were a number of factors that went into Vance's sentence.

Vance received 10 years for a previous rape case because he violated his parole.

Judge Poole then sentenced Vance to 25 years in prison for his current case.

The 56 years old will serve a total of 35 years in prison with no possibility for parole.

Vance will be 91 years old when he would eligible for release.
