UPDATE: Dayton Pike back open after Sunday morning crash
UPDATE: Dispatch tells us the road is back open this morning after a crash early Sunday morning.
UPDATE: One person is in critical condition after a crash in Soddy-Daisy.
Soddy-Daisy Police Chief Jeff Gann tells Channel 3 a woman passenger was ejected from a vehicle when it crossed the centerline of Dayton Pike and crashed into a column of a concrete bridge.
It happened around 1:30 Sunday morning on Dayton Pike at Jackson Road.
Gann says speed, wet roads, impaired driving, and no seat belts contributed to the crash.
Both the driver and passenger were taken to the hospital.
