UPDATE: Interstate 24 West has reopened after all lanes were closed near the Highway 27 split because of a semi crash on Monday evening.

The semi jackknifed around 6:00 p.m. shutting down I-24 West.

The semi has been removed from the roadway and all lanes have reopened.

No injuries have been reported.


ORIGINAL STORY: A jackknifed tractor-trailer is causing delays on I-24 West in Chattanooga on Monday.

It happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. just past the Highway 27 split.

According to TDOT, all westbound lanes near mile marker 178 are closed because of the crash.

No injuries have been reported at this time.

Crews are working to remove the semi.

TDOT estimates the interstate will be cleared by 10:00 p.m.
