Several agencies were called to a house fire in Soddy Daisy on Thursday night.

It happened at a home in the 1300 block of Thatcher Road.

Hamilton County EMS spokesperson Amy Maxwell says crews with the Sequoyah Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the scene to find heavy fire and smoke coming from the back of the home.

No one was injured but the family that lives in the home lost a dog to the fire.

The cause of the fire and damages are unknown.

The fire is under investigation by the Hamilton County Sheriff's Office.

The Soddy Daisy Fire Department, Dallas Bay VFD, and Hamilton County Marine Rescue also responded to the blaze.

The Sale Creek VFD was on standby to help if needed.
