UPDATE: Lee University student Jared Herzog was eliminated from NBC's The Voice on Monday night.

Herzog competed against Will Breman in part three of the battle round.

Both men, who are members of John Legend's team, performed "Treat You Better."

After the performance, it was up to Legend to decide who would remain on his team and he chose Breman.

Other judges on the show had the opportunity to save Herzog but declined to do so.

Season 17 of NBC's The Voice airs at 8:00 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, right here on Channel 3.


ORIGINAL STORY: Another Lee University student will be a contestant on season 17 of NBC's The Voice.

Jared Herzog performed "Speechless" during Monday night's blind auditions.

Judges Blake Shelton, John Legend and Gwen Stefani turned their chairs for a chance to convince Herzog to join their teams.

Herzog eventually decided to join John Legend's team.

Herzog is a captain of the Lee University Flames cross country team.
