UPDATE: Rhea County Sheriff Mike Neal says 68-year-old Daniel C. Reedy has been found on Monday night.

Reedy, who has dementia, was reported missing earlier on Monday and was missing for up to six hours.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Rhea County Sheriff’s is asking for the public’s help with finding a missing man with dementia on Monday.

Sheriff Mike Neal says 68-year-old Daniel C. Reedy has been missing in the area of Academy Avenue for the last 4-5 hours on Monday.

Sheriff Neal says Reedy does not have a vehicle and left the area on foot.

Reedy is a white male who is 6’0 to 6’2” tall and weighs between 150 and 160 pounds. He has dark hair with a bald spot, possibly walks with a limp and had a tattoo on right forearm.

Reedy was last seen wearing a gray shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He has also been described as having limited communication ability due to the dementia.

Reedy has also lived in the Graysville and Evensville Mountain areas of Rhea County.

Sheriff Neal is asking anyone with information on Mr. Reedy to call the Sheriff’s Office dispatch at 423-775-2442.
