UPDATE: Police investigate overnight shooting on Shallowford Road in Chattanooga
UPDATE: Chattanooga PD says two suspects were arrested and charged in connection to last night's shooting on Shallowford Road.
Police say they responded to sounds of gunshots around 2:45 a.m. on October 6.
Upon arrival, police spoke with 37-year-old Dewayne Love, who was shot and involved in the incident.
Once police secured the scene, Love and 27-year-old Tevin Davis were said to be intoxicated and in possession of firearms.
Police say the suspects discharged the weapons in a reckless manner.
Love and Davis are both charged with Reckless Endangerment and Possession of a Firearm While Intoxicated.
Both suspects are currently at the Hamilton County Jail.
PREVIOUS STORY: The Chattanooga Police Department is investigating a second overnight shooting in Chattanooga.
CPD Spokesperson Trevor Tomas says one male was shot at the 6900 block of Shallowford Road.
That person was transported to the hospital.
