Fire on Bonny Oaks Drive damages vacant building, sends firefighter to hospital
The Chattanooga Fire Department responded to a fire at a vacant building on Bonny Oaks Drive in Chattanooga around 4:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters saw heavy smoke coming from the front side of the building and responded accordingly.
Chattanooga FD says heavy winds caused smoke to blow onto Bonny Oaks Drive.
One firefighter was taken to the hospital with heat-related injuries.
The cause is under investigation.
