UPDATE: Chattanooga fire officials say a fire outside of a business off Amnicola Highway has been extinguished.

It happened outside of Woodbridge Chattanooga Formed Plastics LP off Lost Mound Drive around 3:50 p.m.

CFD spokesperson Lindsey Rogers says a large mound of wooden and plastic pallets caught fire and the flames spread to a nearby wooded area.

Officials say about 50 people at Woodbridge Chattanooga Formed Plastics were evacuated because of the fire.

No one was injured.

The fire caused a large amount of smoke that could be seen from miles away.

Fire crews are still at the scene working to keep the flames from reigniting. 

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.

PREVIOUS UPDATE: The Chattanooga Fire Department says the fire is from a "huge mound" of plastic pallets behind Woodbridge Chattanooga Formed Plastics LP off Lost Mound Drive.

Officials say about 50 people at the business have been evacuated because of the fire.

A CFD spokesperson says the fire has spread to the woods near the burning mound of plastic.

No injuries have been reported.

Crews are working to put out the fire and no buildings are in danger at this time.

The scene is causing traffic delays on Amnicola Highway. Officials ask drivers to use caution and avoid the area if possible.
