West Polk County Fire and Rescue (WPFR), the Tennessee Division of Forestry, and the U.S. Forest Service will be back on the scene of a brush fire Tuesday morning.

Per the WPFR Facebook page, they were called out Monday night for a fire on a ridge that is closest to Pankey Ln on the Benton side and Disney Ln on Hwy 314 side.

Crews were able to build a ring around blaze to contain it and it is currently under control.

Officials say the "fire appears to have been caused by a lightning strike from the recent storms this weekend.  While this fire was caused by Mother Nature we want to remind everyone that it is still very dry outside. Fires are being started just by a cigarette being thrown out a window. So please be careful."
