IRONKIDS Chattanooga allows kids to get in on the action
Thousands were in town to compete in the IRONMAN competition. and the race just isn't for adults, kids were able to get on the action as well.
The IRONKIDS Chattanooga fun run offers young athletes the opportunity to feel the excitement of competition while enjoying the outdoors and promoting healthy living.
The event was held at Ross's Landing Park.
Parents, family, and friends were on hand to cheer on the little racers Saturday morning.
We spoke to one of the organizers who says this is her 18th IRONKIDS event.
Nicole Geller, IRONKIDS Program Manager for North America, "So for me just seeing the kids cross the finish line and seeing the parents accomplish that with their kids, To me there's no better job. It's paying it forward for a healthy lifestyle and it's not timed, we just want kids to have fun and just enjoy being healthy. Once again very thankful for the Chattanooga community for embracing Ironman, we have over 350 kids racing with us today."
