Chattanooga firefighters saved a home from burning down in the Belleau Woods subdivision on Wednesday.

It happened shortly before 5:00 p.m. in the 8600 block of Pershing Street.

CFD spokesperson Lindsey Rogers says neighbors called 911 saying they could see flames coming from home.

Firefighters arrived to the scene and found a large fire in the attic above the garage.

Crews were able to put out the fire and keep the flames from spreading to the rest of the home.

Rogers says three adults and a child safely got out of the home.

No one was hurt.

The fire was determined to be an accident.

The Red Cross is helping the people who live in the home.
