UPDATE: Alabama Highway reopens after crash sends 8 people to hospital
Alabama Highway in Catoosa County has reopened following a serious crash on Tuesday.
The crash happened near Yates Springs Road shortly before 4:00 p.m.
A Georgia State trooper says eight people were injured in the two vehicle crash, with five of those victims being children.
All of the victims have been taken to Erlanger.
The crash closed both the north and southbound lanes of the Alabama Highway.
All lanes have reopened.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
