YOUR 3 CENTS: What do you like (and what drives you crazy) about fall?
With the first day of fall arriving, I wanted to get Your 3 Cents on the autumnal season. What are some of the things you are looking forward to?
Debbie said, “Family time and our church homecoming."
Joe said, “Cooler weather for running.”
Teresa said, “Cool, crisp mornings. Halloween. Thanksgiving and family all together.”
Tommy said, “It won't be long till winter no more mowing the yard”
DAZ 0611 said on Twitter, “The look on my wife's face because it's her favorite time if year.”
Some people had a few minor issues with the autumnal season.
Missy said, “When it’s still hot, and women are wearing boots!”
Rhonda said what torques her is “People wearing white shoes! My grandma said it was a law not to wear white shoes after Labor Day!”
Beverly quickly responded, “with the weather we are having shorts and white shoes are okay.”
Jay said, “How early is too early for stores to start selling Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Years merchandise."
Tutti said, “Everything goes pumpkin spice. I noticed on Evine the other day they had makeup with pumpkin in it.
Yeah. I noticed pumpkin spice bagels yesterday. That’s a bit much I think.
Meg hates, “Falling leaves that stick to my schnauzer's legs, underbelly, and face.”
Lilu said, “Those pesky squirrels who have an overflow of acorns that occasionally drop on top of your head as your passing by. Ouchie!!!"
Darlene said, “Those people that set up pumpkins and leave them until after Christmas to rot."
My 3 Cents? The best part of fall is not having to work out as much because I can feel comfortable in a baggy sweatshirt. The worst part of fall? One word: Gumballs. Seriously, there are so many things in and around Chattanooga. Ketners Mill, Prater's Mill, Ellijay Apple Festival, Rocktoberfest at Rock City, Haunted Caverns at Ruby Falls, Boo at the Zoo, Lake Winnepespookyah, and many others.
Find something to do with the ones you love, and make it a great fall even if you do see people wearing white shoes.
That’s my 3 Cents.
If you have a rant or something positive you want to rave about I want to know! Give me a call at 423-643-9722 and give me your 3 Cents.
