Firefighters responded to a fire that destroyed a 30x30 storage barn and damaged a home around 3:30 p.m. on September 22.

Officials say the Sale Creek Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) arrived and reported a fully involved barn fire.

With mutual aid from the Soddy Daisy Fire Department, the fire was quickly contained.

Officials say the fire was started by a fire pit.

The barn is completely totaled and the house had $10,000 worth of heat damage. 

No injuries were reported.
