Couple files lawsuit against three Chattanooga police officers
A couple filed a lawsuit against three Chattanooga police officers, claiming they used excessive force.
According to the lawsuit, Brandon Jones and his wife Devin Jones say they were trying to deposit money after hours at a bank when they were approached by Officer Skyler Long.
Officer Long said he responded to the scene because a silent alarm indicated $4-million was stolen.
The couple says Officer Cuba and Officer Abernathy later arrived. The lawsuit only refers to them by their last names.
The couple claims the officers forcefully removed them from the car and handcuffed them.
Security footage revealed the alarm was related to an ATM in a different location from the night deposit box.
Brandon Jones was charged with resisting arrest, but those charges were later dropped.
