Water has been restored across Chattanooga and Hamilton County for all Tennessee American Water customers.

"Through the hard work of our employees at the Tennessee American Water I am pleased to announce the boil water advisory has been lifted for the majority of our customers," said Darlene Williams with TAW.

However, not everyone is out of the woods just yet. Tennessee American Water released a map showing areas that are still under a boil advisory.

The green area shows places where the boil advisory has been lifted. Those who live in the green area no longer have to boil their water.

The yellow area shows places where the advisory is still in full effect.

Officials recommend places like St. Elmo, Lookout Mountain, Elder Mountain, and Cumberland Road boil their water until advised differently.

Tennessee American Water is waiting on the water samples from the yellow areas to make sure it's safe to drink again.
