For the 95th time Marion County and South Pittsburg met on the gridiron for another chapter in their storied rivalry.

The Pirates have won the last three meetings and looked poised to make it four over a young Warriors team.

Two special teams touchdowns in the first quarter set the tone for South Pittsburg. First a Javien Beene block and recovery in the end zone gave the Pirates a 6-0 lead. Then a Ronto Tipton punt return a little later would put South Pittsburg up 21-0 and that was all she wrote.

The Pirates would score 42 points in the first half and wouldn't let Marion County gain a first down.

South Pittsburg wins for the fourth straight year over the Warriors, 63-7.

The Pirates welcome Huntland next Friday and Marion County hosts region opponent Tyner.
