Moon River Music Festival brings foot traffic for local businesses
More than 10,000 people made their way to Coolidge Park for the Moon River Music Festival this weekend.
The festival brought in extra foot traffic for nearby businesses like Stone Cup Cafe.
On Monday morning, Barista Mae Stuarts said they had a long list of items they were out of.
"It's a good problem to have," Stuart said.
She said this weekend they had orders coming in non-stop.
"I've never seen foot traffic like that in the time that I've been here," Stuart said. "We were doing sales that would have taken a whole day in just the morning."
Stuart said it's a festival the cafe looks forward to every year.
"You know we love and hate the rush," Stuart said. "But it's really wonderful to meet that many people and to build relationships that are new for Stone Cup," Stuart said.
Crews are still working to clean up after the festival.
We're told Coolidge Park, including the splash pad and carousel, will be closed until Wednesday.
