Chattanooga police honored some of the hardest-working officers on the force Thursday night.

The Chattanooga Police Department hosted its annual awards ceremony over at Calvary Chapel.

More than 40 officers were recognized for their selfless service.

The department also honored the life of fallen Officer Nicholas Galinger, who was killed in an alleged hit-and-run incident back in February.

Sgt. Sean O’Brien was awarded Officer of the Year.
