Two separate shootings Thursday evening and early Friday morning are being investigated by police in Chattanooga.

The first happened Thursday evening about 6:25pm when police were notified of a person who walked into a local hospital suffering from a gunshot wound.

The 27-year-old man told police he was riding in a vehicle, and after turning onto Lightfoot Mill Road he heard gunshots and realized he had been shot.

The second shooting occurred about 12:03am as Chattanooga Police responded to reports of shots fired in the 3200 block of Montview Drive.

While police were searching the area, officers were flagged down by a person who led them to the 45-year-old man who was suffering from a gunshot wound.

Despite the victim being uncooperative, according to police, investigators were able to determine that the incident took place in the 3200 block of Montview Drive.
