UPDATE: Dalton police say the suspect accused of stealing a pressure washer from a local Walmart on Monday has been identified.

Police spokesperson Bruce Frazier says the suspect has not been arrested or charged at this time.

PREVIOUS STORY: Dalton police are looking for a man who stole a pressure washer from Walmart on August 26.

Police say the theft happened at the Shugart Road Walmart shortly after 6:00 p.m.

According to a press release, the suspect walked into the garden center area and selected a $179 pressure washer.

The suspect waited for the cashier to be distracted and walked out of the store with the pressure washer, then left the store in a Chevrolet Silverado.

Walmart's surveillance system photographed the suspect.

The suspect is a white male with dark hair and was wearing a white and blue button-down shirt.
