Bradley County Commissioner Jeff Yarber passes away
Bradley County Commissioner Jeff Yarber died Sunday morning of apparent natural causes.
Deputies in Bradley County responded to Yarber's home around noontime on August 25 and found him unresponsive.
EMS arrived on the scene and pronounced him dead.
Yarber was 49 years old.
“His service and dedication will be unmatched in our community and his death represents a huge loss," said Sheriff Steve Lawson, "My friend was much more than a public servant, he was a dedicated and loving father as well. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family today.”
Cleveland's Mayor Emeritus Tom Rowland says, "I have lost a good friend in the passing of Jeff Yarber. I will miss the lunches I had with Jeff talking about the issues of the day. When I was Mayor, neither the City of Cleveland or me personally had a better ally. Jeff’s attitude was what can we do together to better benefit all of our citizens. As an Elk, I will miss his leadership in many posts he held. Sandra and I send our deepest sympathy to Jeff’s family."
