Chattanooga Police Department say they responded to a local hospital around 2:00 a.m. on a report of a person's gunshot wound.

According to a press release, the victim was a 35-year-old male who was walking near Walnut Street Bridge when he heard gunshots.

The victim realized that he got shot and was given a ride to the hospital by a personal vehicle.

The injuries are not life-threatening and police are trying to determine the actual events.
