TBI says joint operation makes four human trafficking arrests in Bradley County
A joint operation by the TBI, Cleveland Police Department and Bradley County Sheriff’s Office resulted in four arrests for human trafficking.
The TBI says the three-day operation began on August 15, when authorities placed several decoy ads on websites with known links to prostitution and commercial sex acts.
The TBI says 50-year-old Timothy Carter from Crossville, 29-year-old Stephen Whited from Sweetwater, and 43-year-old Brian Hamler from Atlanta are each charged with one count of trafficking for commercial sex.
The TBI says a fourth suspect, 45-year-old Donald Thomas from Lawrenceville, Georgia, is charged with promoting prostitution and criminal impersonation.
All four men were booked at the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office.
