Defense still dominant in Mocs second team scrimmage
The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga football team took part in its second scrimmage of fall camp at Finley Stadium tonight. The Mocs went through 108 plays of situational football in front of nearly 200 season ticket holders and members of the Mocs Club.
For the second scrimmage in a row, the defense seemed to have the upper hand. They posted three sacks and 10 tackles-for-loss. Sophomore Ty Boeck led the blue side with three stops behind the line of scrimmage.
The defense also had to impressive interceptions from sophomore CaMiron Smith and junior Jordan Jones. Jones out-jumped a receiver for the pick in the endzone, while Jones tipped a ball of the top to himself for his interception.
The big play on offense was a 50-yard pass from junior Drayton Arnold to junior Tyrin Summers on second and 10 from the UTC 2-yard line.
