Family of officer killed in hit & run files motion for more information from Ringgold restaurant
The parents of a Chattanooga officer who was killed in a hit and run on Hamill Road in February says their attorney has taken legal action to get more answers about the death of their son.
Barry Galinger tells Channel 3, they have received very little information about the events leading up to the death of their son Nicholas.
Investigators say the suspect Janet Hinds was at Farm to Fork restaurant in Ringgold just before the incident happened.
Barry Galinger says the owners of the restaurant haven’t answered several questions regarding their policies and procedures, specifically on the topic of over-serving alcohol to customers.
Galinger says his attorney Ben Rose has sent a detailed subpoena to the owners seeking answers to those questions.
In February shortly after Nicholas’ death, Farm to Fork owners issued a statement on Facebook, addressing the hit and run incident.
A trial date for Janet Hinds is expected to be set in September.
