"The family is frightened now because they don't know if they're going to be targeted again," said Chattanooga Police Investigator Chris Bruce. When you see the video, you will realize why.

Early Sunday morning in East Chattanooga, our victim was out at his truck, getting ready for church. Bruce explained what is shown in the recording from the victim's home surveillance camera.

"Shows a black male coming up talking to him on the right side of his truck."

The suspect seems to attempt to start a conversation before he heads for the drivers side.

"And when he finally noticed, he turned back around, trying to get him to stop. But, he completely ran over him and ended up stealing his car and him having to go to the hospital," said Bruce. "You can see the man trying to stop him and say, 'hey, what are you doing?' And he has no regard for him and runs over him."

The victim is okay, but obviously shaken up. This was theft and aggravated assault. Have a close look at the suspect.

"He's bald-headed, very well-built, works out. He was carrying what look like either a gray shirt or gray towel over him. From what the victim can remember, he had a beard," Off. Bruce described. "He came up on foot which led me to believe he's a local, from the area."

Now, he could be driving the victim's red, older model Toyota Tundra pick-up, or he may have junked it. Any information you have about the suspect or the truck could be worth reward cash, could help get a dangerous man off the streets, and could offer the victim and his family some peace.

"He doesn't hurt anybody," Bruce said of the victim. "He doesn't bother anybody, but this could happen to one of the residents, again, if we don't get this guy pretty quick."
