Scrappy Moore Field was under water in February due to heavy rainfall. The flooding of the field blew out the drainage and ruined much of the football equipment that was stored there as well.

Due to the damage UTC was forced to completely renovate the field.

Less than six months since the flooding, a brand new turf field has emerged as the Chattanooga Mocs were able to return to normalcy Monday afternoon as 2019 fall camp rolls on.

The Mocs were forced to bus over to Finley Stadium for the first five practices of first-year head coach Rusty Wright's debut season as the head man in charge.

They were actually scheduled to practice at Finley again on Monday, but Wright surprised his team when the buses didn't show and he told them to get to stepping down to their usual practice digs.

Fall camp continues for the Mocs as they'll take the day off on Tuesday before switching gears to early morning practices. They'll have their first inter-squad scrimmage on Thursday morning as they work towards their season opener on Thursday, August 29th against Eastern Illinois at 7 p.m.
