Heritage aiming to change the culture in 2019
It wasn't the worst season by any means, but it also wasn't their best. As the Heritage Generals put 2018 behind them they're looking to start from scratch in the attitude department.
Head coach E.K. Slaughter has put a heavy emphasis on a team-first, family mentality that he believes will drive his players to push each other to new limits.
Ending the 2018 regular season winning four of their last five, it appeared the Generals were heading in the right direction, but an early playoff exit didn't help.
The 2019 version with strong leadership and a defense that may surprise some teams may take Heritage to new heights.
The Generals open the season on the road on Friday, August 23rd at LFO before welcoming rival Ringgold the following week.
