Ridgeland has unfinished business in first year under Kip Klein
In his 25 years of coaching Kip Klein has seen many of his former players move on to become coaches of their own or come back to help out their community.
So it should be no surprise that Klein considers his ascension to the head coaching position as a family reunion with many of his former players coming back to join his staff.
The Ridgeland Panthers turned in a solid 8-4 record in 2018, falling to Cartersville in the second round of the GHSA AAAA playoffs. In their eyes though, it's not good enough.
The motto of the 2019 Panthers squad is "unfinished business." They believe there are too many folks doubting them and they are poised to prove them wrong.
Ridgeland will begin their season with a scrimmage against Ringgold on Thursday, August 15th. Their first regular season game is against Calhoun in the Corky Kell Classic in Rome, GA. That game is Thursday, August 22nd at 5:30 p.m.
