We will have scattered, summertime thunderstorms this afternoon into the evening until about 8PM. Then, during the night hours, there will be a few spotty showers in the higher elevations until midnight.

For the afternoon/evening, a few storms may become strong. Our area is not under a risk for severe-level storms, but an isolated severe storm cannot be ruled out. The main threats for today will be gusty wind around 40mph, lightning, and locally heavy rainfall. Wind gusts may blow unsecured objects.

Not everyone will see rain today, but if you do, total rainfall will generally range from 0.1-0.5". Higher amounts up to an inch will be possible with some of the stronger, slower-moving storms. In this case, water ponding on roads will be possible.

In areas without showers/storms, it will be a warm and humid day with a partly sunny sky.
