UPDATE: Police identify man killed Wednesday morning in officer-involved shooting
UPDATE: Chattanooga police have identified the man involved in Wednesday morning's officer-involved shooting as 42-year-old Jerry Reeves.
Police say Reeves died earlier this morning at a local hospital after succumbing to this injuries.
PREVIOUS STORY: Chattanooga Police Chief David Roddy says the call Wednesday morning was an "emotional crisis call" that had police converging on Kellys Ferry Road. Three hostages were reportedly inside the home.
When officers arrived they taped off the area and began negotiations with the people inside the home.
The male suspect came out armed with a long gun and at some point during interaction with officers pointed the gun at them, who in turn responded with deadly force.
The suspect was taken to the hospital, his condition is unknown.
The Hamilton County Sheriff's Office is handling the investigation.

The disorder was called in around 4:36 a.m. on Kellys Ferry Road in the Lookout Valley area.
The road is currently closed while officers investigate the area.
